As I started to write this monthly greeting I had many thoughts swirling around in my mind that I want to share with you. How to pick the most important topic is truly a dilemma.

We are living in a time of many changes and it is important for us to be aware of all that is happening that can have an impact on us personally and as a society. It is for this reason that I decided to again bring a message about our need to take personal responsibility for our health and well being, and to not just blindly accept what corporate greed is putting on our plates. If we do not make conscious choices our lives become a series of events that happen to us by default. In other words, things will happen to affect us that we could have avoided by making a choice for something better.

You may be aware that our country's obesity epidemic has many far reaching effects, not only for us but for future generations. The time has come to take a stance against food makers who do not have our best interest in mind. It is imperative to read labels on any packaged foods that we buy. It is also imperative that we recognize so-called convenience foods and fast foods for what they truly are; fast fixes without substance. These convenience foods are literally killing us. As a nation, we eat far too many of these non-foods, and get most of our calories from sweets and refined flour products. It has been projected that coming generations will actually have shorter life spans if obesity continues to spiral upward.

There are steps we can take to intentionally create the health and well being that we desire, and to live a higher quality life. If we all started our day with just a simple thought of gratitude for the mind that we possess that enables us to make good choices, and for the country that we live in that offers us the option to eat what we want; the freedom to exercise where and how we want; the freedom to read and believe whatever we want, then we will begin to feel a sense of power over our lives. We can only control ourselves and that is a great way to start change. Control what you eat. Make sure it is whole and real, without added sugar and stripped of vitamins and minerals.

I am happy to share my knowledge with those of you who are interested in beginning anew by choosing health. I highly recommend you visit our website for information about hair analysis as a basis for health and balance through proper mineral supplementation.

Make your life a matter of choice, not chance.

In good health,

Rick Wagner

How to Determine if Splenda is Harming You
Full article can be found on Dr. Joseph Mercola's Website

Splenda's manufacturers have attempted to imply that Splenda is natural and safe by using the slogan, "made from sugar so it tastes like sugar." But by the end of the complex chemical processing Splenda goes through, it resembles nothing found in nature. This product is no way shape or form natural, nor is it a real sugar. It isn't even close.

What's more, the long-term safety of Splenda has never been established. In fact, there have only been six human trials to date, the longest of which lasted three months. This study was published in a journal that accepted a number of studies that were entirely funded by the manufacturer. The study was so poorly designed that it would not even merit a rejection letter from a major peer reviewed journal. Yet the company was able to convince the FDA that this tiny study could be extrapolated to the entire spectrum of humans on the planet.

Joint Care Supplements
N
ot all joint care supplements are created equal. The proliferation of dietary supplements has created a host of new products and a variety of formulations. Some experts believe the reason certain consumers are gaining a superior experience is because they are consuming a superior product.

The quality of raw materials and the level of manufacturing are two important factors that create a pretty wide spectrum regarding the purity and potency of dietary supplements that support joint health.

As people continue to reap the benefits of joint health dietary supplements, the number of products to choose from will likely also expand. Before purchasing a product, it's a good idea to contact the manufacturer and ask some tough questions. Product quality does vary significantly, so shop carefully and choose a product with confidence.

How Sweet It Is - Sugar Addiction
Addiction is defined by a three stage process which includes increased consumption, withdrawal symptoms when you stop, and an urge to relapse even after the drug has been completely removed.

Until next month, we wish you abundant health and mindfulness of all the good life has to offer.
