As
I started to write this monthly greeting I had
many thoughts swirling around in my mind that
I want to share with you. How to pick the most
important topic is truly a dilemma.
We
are living in a time of many changes and it
is important for us to be aware of all that
is happening that can have an impact on us personally
and as a society. It is for this reason that
I decided to again bring a message about our
need to take personal responsibility for our
health and well being, and to not just blindly
accept what corporate greed is putting on our
plates. If we do not make conscious choices
our lives become a series of events that happen
to us by default. In other words, things will
happen to affect us that we could have avoided
by making a choice for something better.
You
may be aware that our country's obesity epidemic
has many far reaching effects, not only for
us but for future generations. The time has
come to take a stance against food makers who
do not have our best interest in mind. It is
imperative to read labels on any packaged foods
that we buy. It is also imperative that we recognize
so-called convenience foods and fast foods for
what they truly are; fast fixes without substance.
These convenience foods are literally killing
us. As a nation, we eat far too many of these
non-foods, and get most of our calories from
sweets and refined flour products. It has been
projected that coming generations will actually
have shorter life spans if obesity continues
to spiral upward.
There
are steps we can take to intentionally create
the health and well being that we desire, and
to live a higher quality life. If we all started
our day with just a simple thought of gratitude
for the mind that we possess that enables us
to make good choices, and for the country that
we live in that offers us the option to eat
what we want; the freedom to exercise where
and how we want; the freedom to read and believe
whatever we want, then we will begin to feel
a sense of power over our lives. We can only
control ourselves and that is a great way to
start change. Control what you eat. Make sure
it is whole and real, without added sugar and
stripped of vitamins and minerals.
I
am happy to share my knowledge with those of
you who are interested in beginning anew by
choosing health. I highly recommend you visit
our website for information about hair analysis
as a basis for health and balance through proper
mineral supplementation.
Make
your life a matter of choice, not chance.
In good health,
Rick Wagner
